and applies to both men and women.
To determine BMI, weight is divided by height,
squared.

A BMI of 25 to 29.9 is considered overweight and one 30 or above is considered obese.
BMI doesn't work for:
anyone less than 18 years old
competitive athletes
body builders
pregnant or nursing women
frail or sedentary elderly persons
